Erige Sehiri

Erige Sehiri is a French-Tunisian director, producer, and former journalist whose work bridges documentary realism and narrative cinema. She began with the acclaimed documentary Railway Men before making her debut feature Under the Fig Trees (2022), which premiered at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight and represented Tunisia at the Academy Awards. Her films have screened at major international festivals and in over 20 countries. Beyond filmmaking, Sehiri co-founded the media group Inkyfada, the NGO Al Khatt, and is a founding member of the Rawiyat – Sisters in Film Collective. Her second feature, Promised Sky, premiered in Un Certain Regard at Cannes.

In competition
