Rohan comes from a humble background and grew up in a one-room home in a Mumbai slum, where he was raised by his father, a chauffeur, and his mother, a homemaker. Before becoming a filmmaker, he worked as an interior designer while exploring his passion for cinema on the side. Without any formal film education, he created this semi-autobiographical work, which went on to premiere in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at the Sundance Film Festival.
