It feels like a fairy tale: identical twins have lived their entire lives on a remote farm in the Bohemian Forest. Far from civilisation, these likeable outsiders spend their days bickering, building aeroplanes, drinking and smoking joints. They sleep outdoors, chase after their cattle and challenge each other to arm-wrestling contests. Along the way, they share their philosophy of life.
The documentary Better Go Mad in the Wild defies easy categorisation. It consists of loosely connected scenes linked more by atmosphere and feeling than by chronology or a fixed narrative. In 2025, the film was awarded the Grand Prix – Crystal Globe, the top prize at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

During the closing film, we are introducing a new concept that brings cinema and food together. Throughout the screening, you will be treated to a selection of bites specially chosen to complement the atmosphere and story of the film. The bar will also remain open during the screening, allowing you to order a drink along the way. In this way, we aim to make the closing film not just a special screening, but a complete festival experience.
Het lijkt wel een sprookje: een eeneiige tweeling woont al hun hele leven op een afgelegen boerderij in het Boheemse Woud. Ver weg van de beschaving vullen deze sympathieke outsiders hun dagen met kibbelen, vliegtuigbouwen, drinken en joints roken. Ze slapen buiten, rennen hun vee achterna, en dagen elkaar uit met armpje drukken. Ondertussen delen ze hun levensfilosofie.
De documentaire Better Go Mad in the Wild laat zich niet in hokjes plaatsen. Hij bestaat uit losse scènes, die eerder verbonden worden door sfeer en gevoel dan door chronologie of een vast verhaal. In 2025 werd de film bekroond met de Grand Prix – Crystal Globe, de hoofdprijs van het Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

Daarnaast blijft de bar tijdens de film geopend, zodat u tussendoor een drankje kunt bestellen. Zo maken we van de slotfilm niet alleen een bijzondere filmvertoning, maar een complete festivalervaring.
