Wind, Talk to Me is an intimate, autobiographical drama in which fiction and documentary naturally blend together. The film was initially conceived as a documentary about director Stefan Đorđević’s mother, but after her death, he shifts his focus to his entire family.
Starring his own family members, the film becomes a restrained and understated reflection on grief, existence, and the beauty of fleeting moments and small gestures. Free from sentimentality or artifice, Wind, Talk to Me is a sensitive and sincere exploration of what connects us and of the timeless bond between mother and son.
The film won the highest award for Best Film at the Sarajevo Film Festival. The jury praised it as “a bold and probing approach to a deeply personal subject”, with “enchanting melancholy and delicate beauty”.

Wind, Talk to Me is een intiem, autobiografisch drama waarin fictie en documentaire op natuurlijke wijze in elkaar overvloeien. De film was aanvankelijk bedoeld als een documentaire over de moeder van regisseur Stefan Đorđević, maar wanneer zij overlijdt, verlegt hij zijn focus naar zijn hele familie.
Met zijn eigen familieleden in de hoofdrollen ontstaat een ingetogen en sobere bespiegeling over rouw, het bestaan en de schoonheid van vluchtige momenten en kleine gebaren.
